Ike Turner was a musician, bandleader, songwriter, record producer, and talent scout who pioneered 1950s rock and roll. Ike’s songwriting, production, and music direction were geared towards showcasing Tina. The duo has won awards including the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1991, the St. Louis Classic Rock Hall of Fame in 2015, the Grammy Awards in 1972, and the Golden European Record Award in 1974.
